i wish i could have a pyjama day today. just snuggle in bed and read. but no such luck, of course. just one of those days when it's hard to get going.
we never gamble but jay's class had bought a lottery ticket together. we heard that someone in edmonton won the 41 million dollars. for a while we imagined we'd be millionaires. :) fun to imagine but i don't know if i'd want to be a millionaire. maybe. maybe not.
years ago, we bought a father's day gift to jay's dad and we felt it needed a bit of something still. just for fun we got a lottery ticket for him. well guess what? he won about 3500 dollars! he would have won a lot more but many people did well that week. pretty nice father's day gift, eh? :)
what would you do if you won couple of million dollars?

{let's get silly}

(images via google image search)
i was browsing how about orange and couldn't help but smile when i came across her recent "hobby" of money and toilet paper origami. silly as i am, i right away had to try it. our toilet paper looks so fancy now. fun! :)
you could fold a $50 or $100 bill to a shirt and tie for a fun father's day gift.
go to how about orange to find a link to some of the instructions.
happy friday! :)

{zellaisda ja dällaisda :)}

dearcolleen/etsy
lihatonta cajun kaalipataa eilen ruuaksi, tänään lounaaksi. ah! :P
hey, i've been using google translator when browsing norwegian and swedish blogs. it doesn't work 100% but it works pretty well. try it my english speaking readers and see if it works. sometimes i just have to write in finnish to pretend i still speak the language. ha haa. :D
later...
ok, the translator definately doesn't work 100% but i got a good laugh of the translation:
lihatonta cajun cabbage stew feedstuffs yesterday, today for lunch. ah! :P
25C sunny day again. but still feeling still spring, not summer yet.
yesterday, the playground of wind blew the sand between properly but it is hampered by cost. HARG play sand so happy so long after the winter.
"Mom depletion when calculating slides belly" (some there too)
i buy books in one tube so a girl to do when playing.
vihreetä already seen a nice side yard and tulips growing on a bench. as soon as it is already valitellaankin that is too hot to heat. :D
jay waiting for that school year and final examinations are over. HARG shows dad sad uhmaillen between don't properly. jay hope that readers take vacation before you start work again in June.
:D
this is what it should say:
meatfree cabbage casserole for supper yesterday, and today for lunch. :P
+25C sunny day again today. but it still feels like spring, not like summer.
yesterday at the playground the wind was blowing sand really hard but it didn't stop us from having fun. sienna had so much playing in the sand after such a long winter.
"mommy, look at me going down the slide on my belly."
i'm constantly buying books so that i have something to do when sienna plays.
there's green everywhere and tulips are growing in our front yard's flowerbed.
soon i'll be complaining that it's too hot. :D
we're waiting for jay's school year and final exams to be over. hope that jay will take a break before he starts his summer job.
finnish language is hard to translate by a computer because the words change appearance depending on what you are saying.
here's an example:
a man = mies
man's = miehen
to the man = miehelle
shirt = paita
shirts = paidat
etc.
in english the words are always the same. in finnish, the words change.

{have a swinging time}

...by reading a good book.
(i'm so glad i didn't live way back then.)
or...
yesterday's patio furniture made me think of swings as well.
i saw a picture once that had a slide in the water. this would be fun too.

the bubble swing/chair designed by finnish designer eero aarnio. i think it was designed in 1968 yet it's as hip as ever. i'd love one of these! make it two. :)

{modern patio}

dreaming of a modern patio :)
i don't know how anyone could keep these white cushions clean though. so much work to keep your patio furniture free of bugs and dirt. that's why it's fun to just dream about a patio like this. ha haa. :D
